Flavor Profile: Cuppa Peace tisane brings soft overtones of sweet floral and citrus scents and fresh mint, buoyed by warm undertones of spices and cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum, the good kind of cinnamon!).*
Ingredients: Proprietary blend of 100% Certified Organic: Lemon Balm Leaf (Melissa officinalis), Chamomile Flower (Matricaria chamomilla)**, Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata), Catnip Leaf (Nepeta cataria), Cinnamon Chips (Cinnamomum verum), Hibiscus Flower (Hibiscus sabdariffa)**, Lavender Flower (Lavandula angustifolia), Lemon Verbena (Aloysia citrodora), Scullcap Herb (Scutellaria lateriflora), Orange Peel (Citrus sinensis), Peppermint Leaf (Mentha piperita), Rose Petals, red (Rose canina), Rosehips, Seedless (Rosa canina), Spearmint Leaf (Mentha spicata).
Cautions: Keep away from children.
Chamomile Flower**: Allergen Alert: Use cautiously if allergic to ragweed, asters, or daisies.
Hibiscus Flower**: Allergen Alert: Hibiscus may be intercropped with peanuts. It may be processed in a manufacturing site that contains peanuts or shell fragments.
Before using: It’s always a good idea to consult a health care provider before use if you may be pregnant or are nursing, have allergies or medical conditions, or are taking medications. *Statements not evaluated by the FDA.
Brewing a good cup of herbal tisane/tea: Brew hot or cold! The longer you steep the herbs, the more the tannins will be released (that’s the bitter taste). We prefer to add more herbs to the cup/container, rather than steeping too long. Experiment to find YOUR preferred steeping time.
Hot Brew: place the desired amount of loose-leaf herbs in a cup or teapot, and pour hot water over the herbs to keep all the good aromatics inside! Cover the container and steep for 3 to 15 minutes (to your desired taste). Do not use boiling water, just nice hot water. Once steeped, strain with an infuser and enjoy!
Cold Brew: Place herbs in a glass jar or other suitable container and pour cold or room-temperature water over them. Cover the container and either leave it on your sink for up to 30 minutes for “sink tea” or place it covered in your refrigerator for up to 2 hours. Strain with a tea infuser and enjoy!
